以铁门做防黄铜为例，其施工步骤为：首先是去锈，然后是上 防锈漆，再满刷一遍黄铜金粉漆，干后用一把旧的短毛 棕刷的刷尖蘸一点黑色 哑光漆放在门上刷，不能刷成一片黑的，也不能太规则。这种作法是对浮雕门的仿铜做法，而且这些油漆哪家的都可以做。

国内的防盗门涂装前绝大部分都采用酸洗 磷化工艺,由于防盗门的结构复杂,大部分都是由热扎管、 热扎板、锻件和 冷板等直接焊接而成的，给喷涂造成一定的困难。所以前期的除油除锈也是仿铜工艺关键的一步，如果这一步没有处理好的话，几年以后还是会掉粉掉漆，影响仿铜门的美观。
